Here are some typical storage-related questions we get asked. If you can’t find the answers here, you may either contact us via phone, email or simply drop-by our Petaling Jaya branch to speak to our customer service assistant or for a guided tour of our self-storage facility.

  • How do I contact you if I need to?

    Our friendly customer service assistant is always on hand if you need help with any storage-related enquiries or just have any questions that you would like to discuss. Simply call us on 03-7772 9171 or use our handy web contact form and we’ll contact you instead.

  • How secure is your storage facility?

    Our climate-controlled storage facility in Petaling Jaya has 24-hours security as well as closed-circuit TV monitoring, fire alarms and smoke detectors. We also offer business storage solutions for inventory management such as document storage, warehouse space as well as crate hire.

  • Do you have any moving equipment available to help me move my items into my storage space?

    Yes we offer trolleys and a variety of moving equipment to help you move your belongings into our self-storage facility.

  • Do you offer packing service?

    If you need a hand with packing your storage boxes, please speak to our customer service assistant or contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.

  • Do you sell packing materials?

    Yes, we sell the full range of packaging materials including storage boxes, bags and bubble wrap – you can see our full range under our Box Shop page.

  • What size storage do you have?

    We offer a large range of standard storage units as well as bespoke units for any size you may need in our climate-controlled secure storage facility. Click on the Size / Price / Location page under the Self-Storage tab to learn more about the room sizes.

  • Can I change to a different size after I’ve already moved in?

    If the unit size you want is available at our facility, then yes, you can move into a larger unit to better suit your storage requirements. Our customer service assistant will be able to assist you in that transition.

  • Is there a minimum storage period?

    There is no minimum storage period but we do operate on a monthly billing cycle so you will be billed for a minimum of a month’s storage.

  • What can’t I store in my storage unit?

    You can store virtually anything except prohibited items as detailed in the Prohibited Storage Items page.

  • Can the authorities access my storage unit without my express permission?

    Government authorities such as the customs and police have statutory rights enabling them to visit your space unit with relevant documentations. As per our storage agreements, we will fully cooperate with all government authorities when they have reasonable cause to suspect that illegal or possibly illegal activities are conducted in our self-storage facility. The extent of our cooperation includes allowing these authorities to inspect your storage unit.

  • How will I be billed?

    We run a first of the month billing cycle. For the first calendar month of your storage, you will be charged from the day that your belongings have been securely stored in our storage facility to the end of that month, and then on the first day of each subsequent calendar month.

  • Will I need to pay a deposit for my storage unit with Cube Self Storage?

    There is a refundable deposit which is equal to one month’s rent.  When you vacate your storage unit, providing you have given us one month written notice and that you leave your storage unit in the same condition as when you started your rental period, your deposit will be returned to you.

  • Do you pro-rate refunds?

    We will pro-rate to the day you wish to vacate your storage unit and your storage terminated provided a one-month notice is given in writing.

  • What is Cube Self Storage’s bank account details?

    You may bank into our HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad account at 1058-1498-2101.

    NOTE: All bank charges (if any) will need to be paid by the customer. Cube Self Storage reserves the right to delay access to your storage unit until full payment is received.
