A sound mind in a sound body is always worthy of striving for.

2019 has been a great journey and it’s about to come to an end. As we reflect on what we have achieved and learned throughout the year, we’ve asked some of our awesome staff about their New Year’s resolution.

  1. Travel More!

One of our copywriters, Steffie, is setting herself some travel related resolutions, which we think is great, as it could help one to get through the “January blues.” Steffie said, “I’ve started travelling this year actually. I really enjoy exploring new places, but most importantly, I love exploring special delicacies these places have to offer. Most of the time, I do this with my Mom or with my friends. This year I’d like to try travelling solo. Well, not all the time because I still love travelling and food-hunting with my Mom and my friends. I just think that there’s a lot more to discover in travelling solo. So, let’s see how it goes next year.”

  1. On self-Improvement.

Our graphic designers, Nabil and Aaden, are focusing on self-improvement for their new year’s resolutions. “Times can be hard,” Aaden said, “and it may take a lot to overcome adversity, but sitting around and moping about it is just counterproductive. If you had arguments with others over a past issue, you will only lose a friend or a life partner and remain sad and bitter. Forgiveness is a much healthier way to deal with issues that should be left in the past. I’d like to practice forgiveness—that’s my new year’s resolution.” On the other hand, Nabil reflected on how unsatisfying it is to live in a materialistic world. “It’s very tiring to pursue material things,” he explained. “It can get very toxic and ugly from time to time, and it could affect relationships. So, for 2020, I want to commit myself to experiences not to things; I want to live in the moment, day by day, not in the past or the future, but in the now. It’s very easy to say than done, I know…but this is the direction that I will pursue moving forward into the new year.”

  1. Mental and physical well-being.

Taking good care of oneself is fundamental to living a balanced lifestyle, and it is the new year’s resolution for Yeng Hang (our copywriter) and Visa (our junior sales and marketing executive). Yeng Hang said, “Physically, I’m healthy and I’m grateful for that, but next year I want to be fitter. That’s my goal every year,” she giggled. “But next year I want to be more disciplined with my workouts, and more conscious with what I eat. I think that’s a good habit.” Agreeing with Yeng Hang, Visa added, “I’d like to take good care of my body, which I wasn’t doing very well this year. Also, I would like to not stay as healthy as possible, and hopefully, no fall sick too many times next year.” A sound mind in a sound body is always worthy of striving for, and at Cube Self Storage we encourage everyone to do so too.

Throughout the year Cube Self Storage has been providing self storage solutions to Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya. The benefits you — as our storer — get from having that extra space away from your home and/or workplace is undeniably good. But we won’t stay in the good zone, we will work harder and smarter to continue improving our services to better your storage experience. Moving forward into the new year, let us all be kind to one another, continue to inspire one another, and create beautiful experiences and memories together. Happy New Year to you! May the coming year bring a lot more joy and prosperity and good health into your life.
